Guardian Recovery - Dallas Addiction Center

My experience with Guardian Recovery Services began with confusion and poor communication before I ever arrived at the facility. One of the biggest challenges I faced in seeking treatment was finding someone to care for my dog. After a great deal of effort, I finally found someone who lived quite a distance away and was willing to take my dog into their home. As soon as those arrangements were confirmed, I called Guardian at approximately 2:30 p.m. to let them know. I had previously been told that transportation would be provided and that my check-in time would be around 5:00 p.m. When I called, I was told someone would contact me to finalize the arrangements. That call didn’t come until around 7:00 p.m. When they finally called, they had no record that I had already notified them that my dog care had been arranged. Throughout the day I spoke with five different people and received five different answers about my admission and transportation. The delay didn’t just create uncertainty for me—it also put me in an embarrassing position with the person who had generously agreed to care for my dog. They had rearranged their schedule to help me, and because Guardian failed to follow through on the timeline they had given me, it made me look unreliable and disorganized through no fault of my own. Seeking treatment for alcohol addiction is difficult enough without having to wonder whether anyone is communicating with each other. By the end of the day, I had lost confidence in the organization because I no longer felt I could rely on the information I was being given. People reaching out for addiction treatment are often in one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. They deserve clear communication, consistent information, and follow-through. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Guardian Recovery Services. Update, July 14, 2026. I want to add an update regarding the situation with the person who generously agreed to care for my dog. Because of the confusion and delays surrounding my admission, I was left in the difficult position of having to explain why everything had changed. This reflected poorly on me, even though I had done everything I was asked to do and had notified Guardian as soon as my arrangements were in place. What was most disappointing was the response I received. Rather than acknowledging the situation or taking responsibility for the communication breakdown, I was told that I should simply not tell her what had happened. I found that suggestion both unprofessional and dismissive. I value honesty, especially with someone who went out of their way to help me during a very vulnerable time. To me, accountability and integrity are essential qualities in any healthcare provider. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling that those values were lacking.

Guardian was such a blessing! Changed my life. I’ve been to so many rehabs and this one was hands down the best I’ve ever had and I feel like I have such a higher chance of success because of the people that work there! The techs, the people that work in the front, the therapists, the nurses, and the AMAZING chefs are what makes this place the best imaginable choice for anyone that wants a real chance at sobriety. Thank you all so much!! Guardian will always have a special place in my heart!

Guardian recovery is truly a blessing.The word guardian really means something, they're all angels wanting the best for everybody. They really do care! I will never forget them. I give a huge shout out to all the Staff, Nurses, Chefs, Therapist, Techs, and the clients. Thank you for helping me get sober.My future is so bright I've got to wear shades😎 Love, Shar❤️

This place is great!!! The have amazing staff, amazing chiefs, amazing groups and amazing therapists, amazing medical staff and amazing case managers. Look truthfully if you’re willing to change your life and get sober you need to be involved and let your higher power guide you. I have nothing negative to say about this place. They helped me through things I didn’t think I could move forward. Give yourself a chance and give them a chance you will never regret coming here cause I know I haven’t.

My experience at Guardian Recovery was great! I’ve been to treatment 9 times now so I’m familiar with the staff at facilities and there’s was the best I’ve dealt with! All the BHT’s were super knowledgeable because they’ve been in our shoes. Also they truly acted like they cared. If you had a problem they would sit with you and just listen and then try their best to help. The therapist’s were great too! Just all the staff! They have an outing everyday and it rotates between going to an actual gym and the park to get outside where as some other places only do an outing once a week. They also have a tone of snacks that they provide which is great on top of the three meals they give you. Most other places just do meals and then a snack once a day. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone out there that’s suffering from addiction.
