Lansing Urgent Care - Westside

From the moment I walked into the facility, I was greeted with genuine kindness and care. I had trouble using the app, and the staff member who helped me was so patient and compassionate. The lobby was clean and welcoming, which immediately made me feel comfortable. From the nurse to the doctor, everyone went above and beyond. They listened carefully, treated me with respect, and made me feel truly cared for. I came in thinking I had a throat infection, which thankfully turned out to be allergies, but what impressed me most was their attentiveness. They noticed an issue with my leg and immediately decided to do a scan just to be safe. I’m from out of town, and this was honestly one of the best medical experiences I’ve ever had. Five stars all the way!

This location has Very friendly staff, makes you feel heard instead of like they dont care. They will address the reason there with respect and grace to the best of their abilities that all patients deserve. Also looking online at wait times helps give patients an idea of when a good time to go in is. I have been in and out in less than an hour multiple times that way for different issues.

I recall typing more than just a rating. I mentioned that it would be nice if when checking in, in-person, that we could hand the receptionist our id and insurance card for them to scan. It is very difficult to photograph cards in the office with bright overhead lights reflecting off of them. Having a medical issue at the same time makes it even harder.

Front desk receptionist was very rude and had little to no patience for anyone that came up to the desk because it day 3 of their new system they were learning. I got there at 9am my expected appt time was 9:15am. I completed everything online. Then I receive a text saying I missed my appt. Several people were taken back before me. I ask the receptionist about it I get told rudely we'll check when we have time and brushed off. They have several people trying to be seen. I understand that and have been waiting patiently like everyone else only to be spoken to rudely, treated like my needs were not just as important as anyone else that was there. Then was told I'd be the next taken back and someone else was called before me. I didn't get pulled back until closer to 10am. The MA that did my intake was not very organized, did not record my information very accurately at all. The only positive experience I had was the provider Toni that I seen. She was nice, upbeat, cared about my needs, listened, asked questions, gave me a list of medications that are safe for me to take since I am pregnant. She asked if there was anything else I needed and had good bedside manner. She would be the only reason I'd recommend someone to go to this location otherwise I'd say go somewhere else.

This urgent care comes off as dirty. The nasty inhuman tablet that you use to sign in, (because of course you can't talk to a person anymore) was gross and broken. The hand sanitizer that would have been nice to use after signing in was empty and was not cleaned so often that it was growing a stalagmite. After my two hour wait! (I'm not sure how Lansing works exactly but where I'm from if you have extremely long wait times, the staff will usually recommend another urgent care outpost in their network to go to. That way you don't get upset and they aren't overwhelmed. Time is money. ) I finally was escorted to a room. Now I'm already in a mood so after I get to my room I start analyzing EVERYTHING around me. Dust, dirt and expired maintenance labels are on Everything. I'm not sure how accurate your blood pressure is when the machine is 3 years expired in maintenance.... I hope to never come back to this place. Please clean up and exhaust due care with your facility.
