Lansing Urgent Care - Bath/Haslett

Went here Friday, after having all the symptoms of the stomach parasite going around. Staff was nice, was told I had to test positive for them to give me the treatment spent considerable time over the weekend picking up the test and dropping off (had to set up an appt with the lab). On Friday they told me to call in if it came back positive and they could expedite getting the antibiotics. Test results come back positive at 10pm Sunday night. I call at 8am Monday and relay the info. I’m told they don’t see it in their system, and that they would add a note for whoever reviews them. Wait another 2.5 hrs and call back. Katie on the phone is audibly annoyed. I explain that I’m just trying to get treatment and they told me that I could call. Told there is nothing that I can do to expedite it. Wait another 2 hours and still nothing… finally just set up a video appointment with Sparrow and it was called in for me all in the course of 10 minutes. Wouldn’t go back. Had to pay another copay to just get medication, something that would have taken them minutes.

I appreciated that we were able to reserve our spot online and get in quickly for my 4 year old daughter. Everyone we met there was kind. However, I was not impressed at all with the PA that we saw. She never touched my daughter at all to feel her neck, listen to her heart, look in her ears, or anything. The most she did was ask my daughter to open her mouth to look at her throat, but given that my daughter didn't stick out her tongue and she didn't use a tongue depressor I don't think she could see a thing. She prescribed an antibiotic and sent us on our way. Afterwards I saw the notes she left and it had all sorts of things about how her chest sounded clear and her ears looked good, and a number of other notes that there was no way for her to actually know since NEVER looked at any of these things!

Not very often you have a great experience with medical providers as a whole. Patrick and team were all courteous, timely, and appreciate walking out with everything we needed including medication. Thank you!

I took my 7 year old son here today, he was diagnosed with strep at another location 10 days ago. He was doing great until this morning, he became nauseous again. All of the staff were incredible. I especially appreciated the medical assistant that was helping us. She had his medical history already pulled up when we were called back. He was very nervous for his strep test, and she explained it to him and helped him feel better about it. I wish i would have asked her name so I could leave it in the review! The provider that we saw was also fantastic. They were very busy (it was a Sunday afternoon so that is to be expected), but we were in and out and left with his medication filled on location in about an hour. I have never had such a great experience at any urgent care facility! While the urgent care on a weekend is never an ideal place to be, i will always use this location going forward.

We felt we were taken care of extremely well and the staff listened to and addressed our needs with my daughter's injury. I would highly recommend Lansing Urgent Care to anyone and will be using this facility going forward.
