Lansing Urgent Care - DeWitt

Office staff is professional and friendly but the wait is ridiculous. We got there right when they opened at 9am. And i asked how long the wait would be, they said no one was there at the moment so could get us in right away. We were the first walk in checked in and there. Only 2 other people came in after us and they were also walk ins. We didnt even get in a room until 9:40am. If they dont see people at 9am then why open. Went in with our 1 year for an ear infection. Doctor saw us at 10:03 and stayed in for 3 minutes confirmed the ear infection. She was super nice and friendly the staff always is, they really just need to be better at getting people in faster. I dont know what they were doing for the first 40 minutes. They had all our information already. Really hard to keep a one year old entertained for over an hour at a clinic.

10 out of 10, would absolutely get stitched up here again! Long story short, my hand lost an argument with a table saw and I ended up needing 10 stitches plus multiple fractures in my thumb. The staff here were incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely concerned about my health and recovery the entire time. They got me stitched up, made sure I went for follow-up X-rays to confirm the fractures, and even helped schedule and coordinate a hand surgeon appointment. I never felt brushed off or ignored, which honestly meant a lot considering the situation. The only thing I’d love to see improved is the outpatient pain medication policy. I’m already on naproxen and Flexeril for other injuries and was advised not to take additional ibuprofen, so pain management options were a little limited. Overall though, the care I received was excellent, and I’m very grateful for how seriously they took everything. Hopefully I don’t need stitches again anytime soon… but if I do, I know where I’m going!

Overall the staff were professional and friendly. However, would not recommend bringing infants or toddlers here. I brought my toddler in with suspicion of a UTI around 4PM. After taking my copay and her vitals I was told they can't diagnose that there. I was told I should visit the ER because she was dehydrated and would need IV fluids and that she would need a catheter. If I would have just been told upon arrival they couldn't help I would have called her primary again to try to get in. At the ER, they discussed the catheter, but they were able to collect a urine sample with a catch bag that they stuck in her diaper..took less than an hour to collect. They told me they would not do IV fluids on a toddler who was still voluntarily drinking water. And ultimately rolled their eyes when I told them urgent care said they couldn't diagnose her. Just really disappointed after that whole experience. Wish they wouldve been more transparent about their abilities before my time and money were spent there.

The medical staff here are usually all awesome. I was in yesterday with my three kiddos and had no issues with the nurses or doctors. However, both receptionists were terribly rude. One cut me off in the middle of talking before allowing me to fully ask a question to answer me. Had a very hostile look on her face and treated me as though I was inconveniencing her. Answered my question with something I wasn't even asking about because she rudely interrupted me and didn't let me finish. At the end of my visit I returned to the receptionist desk and saw the same woman with her Facebook page pulled up on her computer. Social media is apparently this person's priority while on the clock. The second receptionist ignored us and didnt aknowledge us when we approached the counter at the end of our visit. I love the medical staff here but the experiences I had with both of your receptionists make me want to avoid this place. The cleanliness of the rooms wouldn't have been as big of an issue to me had the staff not been seen chatting on Facebook at their desk and busy with actual work. Perhaps instead of doom scrolling social media, tending to chat conversations on Facebook and treating patients like they are inconveniencing her, the woman could grab a broom and sweep some of the huge cobwebs out from behind the doors and corners of the rooms. 🙃

Staff and providers were friendly, respectful, and professional. I felt listened to and not rushed, even though it had been a busy day and I was a walk-in less than hour before closing time. I had a great experience and highly recommend!
